My guest today is Lior Goldenberg a producer and mixer based in Los Angeles. He has been making records in LA since the early 90s starting out as a runner at the Record Plant and then as s second engineer for producers like Rick Rubin, Michael Beinhorn, Robert Margouleff and Manny Marroquin. Lior’s clients include Stone Temple Pilots, Ziggy Marley, Rancid, Fuel, Macy Gray, Sheryl Crow, Vanessa Carlton, Marilyn Manson, Andrew W.K., Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Alanis Morissette, MxPx, Allen Stone, and many more.

My guest today is George Massenburg, a multi Grammy award winning producer, engineer, mixer, and award winning audio designer legendary for having invented the parametric equalizer in 1972. George has participated in over four hundred records over the past 45 years. His work includes recordings of Earth, Wind & Fire, Linda Ronstadt, Little Feat, Lyle Lovett, Aaron Neville, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Herbie Hancock, Arlo Guthrie, Billy Joel, the Dixie Chicks and many more.

Get the real story about recording “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” with Cyndi Lauper, and other great studio stories, and recording tips!

My guest today is Eric Bazilian, Founder of The Hooters, and part of the band on Cyndi Lauper’s “She’s So Unusual”, as well as Joan Osborne’s “Relish”, for which Bazilian wrote the Grammy-nominated “One Of Us’ one night in his dining room.

He then went on to write for and produce artists as varied as Busted, The Scorpions, Ricky Martin, Robbie Williams, Amanda Marshall, Jonatha Brooke, Billie Meyers, Leanne Rymes, and many more he can’t remember at the moment. His proudest moment as a producer in recent history is the album he produced with William Wittman for Dave Hause, “Bury Me In Philly”.
